Sunday Dinner

Things I should be doing tonight instead of blogging:

- The dishes.

- Something that pays money so that I can afford to remodel our kitchen into something that actually includes counters. Because we currently have none. Seriously. None. Okay, maybe one, but it can barely fit a spice rack and a block of Henckel's. In case you were wondering, that's why we keep dirty dishes on the stove.

- Figuring out how the heck I am going to cook my first full Thanksgiving meal in the culinary cubicle that is our kitchen.

Ah. Finally. A kitchen that looks only slightly - SLIGHTLY - more disorganized than my own.

Seriously.

Dont let it get you down, but we have tons of counter space and still have stuff piled on the stove. The more counter space the more crap that seems to pile on top of it.

I have counters and my kitchen still looks like that.

My husband & I host Thanksgiving for our family and extended family & friends - total attending this year 20. We also have a small kitchen - I have used paper or plastic plates the last 4 years - no one seems to mind. After all we do all the work and they just have to sit back and enjoy.

Your dishes look like art! They do! So, though you haven't done them, take them for what they are - a photographic masterpiece to share, reminding us that there are other duties that come first. You've inspired me.

I think I'll find some batteries for my camera and take a picture of my studying-for-midterms-kitchen disastor.

Great pic!

This isn't much help to you since you don't have counters and since I've never tried it myself, but I heard cooking a turkey in a nesco roaster is just as good if not better than the oven-freeing up cooking space on the stove? Sounds good in theory.

You too? I have a couple of counters and I'm stressing. But seriously? A slightly larger kitchen just means more space for mess and clutter.

Wow. Think of the post you can write the day after Thanksgiving.

Good luck with that! Happy Bird day too!
